By accessing or using Realtime Sports API ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Realtime Sports API provides real-time and historical sports data through a REST API. The Service includes access to live scores, play-by-play data, team information, athlete statistics, and other sports-related data across multiple sports and leagues.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 13 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

4.1 Rate Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier:

  • Free Tier: 125 calls per day, 1 call per second
  • Starter: 10,000 calls per day, 5 calls per second
  • Pro: 50,000 calls per day, 20 calls per second
  • Enterprise: Unlimited calls, 100 calls per second

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Exceed your rate limits or attempt to circumvent them
  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Resell or redistribute API data without authorization
  • Use automated tools to abuse or overload the Service
  • Share your API key with unauthorized parties

5. Subscription and Payment

5.1 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. You are responsible for providing accurate payment information.

5.2 Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Refund requests must be made within 7 days of initial subscription. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for the remaining period.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

7. Data and Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Data

All data provided through the Service, including but not limited to scores, statistics, and team information, is licensed for your use. You may not claim ownership of this data or use it to create competing services.

7.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of any data you create using our Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your data to provide and improve the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Realtime Sports API, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
